Blog Action Day - Tomorrow

Blog Action Day is an annual event that unites the world's bloggers in posting about the same issue on a single day – October 15.

Last year, more than 13,000 bloggers participated from 152 countries. Their aim is to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion about an important issue that impacts people around the world.

In order to participate, all you need to do is write a single post on your blog about the issue of water on October 15th. If you’re not sure what to write about, don’t worry – they have a great list of suggestions for possible topics that we’ll send you.

Register your blog. They'll add a link to your blog and your post will appear on the Blog Action Day site on October 15.

Green Neighborhood 2 – Jardim Morumbi

During the months of June and July we carried out our survey for tree-planting in this neighborhood. We visited over10 streets and 127 homes and got the following result:

36 dwellers adhered to the project, totaling 42 trees (some of them required more than one tree)
01 municipal nursery – 7 trees
01 required a substitution for an existent tree
29 already had trees planted in their sidewalks
13 did not adhere to the project
02 have not decided yet
49 were not at home or did not answer the door

Our survey involved environmental and social aspects and we are very happy with the all results.
It means at least 50 new trees on the streets. The Town office has sent us a statement that the new trees will be planted soon,  in rainy season.
